Questions about the Meteor

What is the Meteor?

It is a 9 gram, 8 mm thick sensor which evaluates the performance of footballers according to a dozen criteria using an accelerometer coupled with artificial intelligence (AI).

What is the difference with a GPS?

A GPS will work with location. Our sensor will understand body movements without knowing the position. It's as if he had been taught to recognize all the footballer's movements. The two are perfectly complementary.

Is the sensor annoying for gaming?

No ! Ultra light, thin and small, the Meteor is placed at calf level, below your sock. It absolutely does not hinder the movements of the player, who will immediately forget that he/she is wearing a sensor.

And the strap? Its design has been designed for more comfortable use and the numerous user feedback attests to this.

Can I wear my Meteor anywhere other than my calf?

No, bad idea. Our R&D (research and development) is currently based on the “top of the striking calf” position. Wearing it elsewhere is equivalent to giving false game information to the sensor, which will not be able to accurately calculate your stats!

Does the Meteor take into account the data from my bad foot?

We advise you to wear the sensor on your strong leg because that is where you will obtain better statistics, but nothing prevents you from comparing with the other leg and seeing the difference.

Today our artificial intelligence is not yet capable of detecting passes and shots made with the leg not wearing the sensor. However, we continue to work on it to overcome this.

Can I use my sensor in an official match?

As it is hidden under the sock, you can use it but we recommend that you ask the referee for permission. Today, players from the Luxembourg pro team wear our sensor in addition to clubs who use it during their weekend matches.

I charge my sensor from my computer but I have the impression that it is not charging, what should I do?

Regarding loading, ideally you should use a computer. Please note that charging works from a wall outlet or a cigarette lighter with the only difference that the sensor light does not light up and gives the impression of not charging.

Indeed, when the sensor loads on the computer you should see the sensor light blinking slowly. If you don't see this light flashing, try another cable and another USB port on the computer.

If the problem persists despite everything, send an email to our support team describing your problem or contact us on our Instagram and Facebook networks.

Do I have to keep the phone next to me when I play?

No, once the sensor is turned on, the app can be closed and the phone put away. Bluetooth only intervenes to turn the sensor on/off, then to download the data at the end of your match or training.

What is the maximum distance between the phone and Meteor?

For the distance to the Meteor, there are 2 distinct things:

  • To connect to the Meteor (to turn it on, off or download its data), you must be close to the sensor, approximately less than 5 meters.
  • On the other hand, once the Meteor is turned on, you can disconnect from the phone and it works in "autonomy". All you have to do is reconnect after your session to turn it off and then download the data.
