The Footbar tracker
Buy-
It is an 8-gram, 8-mm-thick tracker that evaluates the performance of female and male soccer players based on a dozen criteria using an accelerometer paired with artificial intelligence (AI).
-
A GPS will work with location. Our tracker will understand body movements without knowing the position. It is as if it has been taught to recognise all the movements of the footballer. The two are perfectly complementary.
-
No! Ultra-lightweight, slim, and compact, the tracker attaches to the calf, discreetly under the sock. It doesn’t hinder the player’s movements in the slightest, and he or she will immediately forget that they’re wearing a tracker.
What about the strap? It was designed to provide maximum comfort, based on extensive user feedback, and you can really tell!
-
No, our technology is currently based on the "upper calf" position. Wearing it elsewhere means giving false information to the tracker, which won't be able to calculate your stats accurately!
-
No, the tracker only tracks data from the leg on which it is worn. We therefore recommend that you wear the tracker on your dominant leg, as that’s where you’ll get the best statistics.
Today our artificial intelligence is not yet able to detect passes and shots made with the leg not wearing the tracker. However, we are still working on this.
-
As it's hidden under the sock, you can use it during amateur matches, subject to district regulations. We recommend that you ask the referee for permission. Today, the players of the Luxembourg pro team wear our tracker , in addition to the clubs who use it at their weekend matches.
Using the tracker
-
1) You need to put on your tracker , placing it on the back of your "dominant" leg, at the top of your calf.
2) You'll need to turn on your tracker through the app by going to the "tracker" tab and selecting your tracker from the list. Then just turn it on by pressing the big white button.
3) You can then put your phone away—you won't need it during your workout.
4) Once your session is over, go back to the app, reselect your tracker in the "tracker" tab, then turn off your tracker by pressing the green button, and then download your stats
5) Downloading your stats should take 1 to 2 minutes. You'll receive a notification when your stats are ready, or you can go directly to "Profile" → "Sessions."
-
All you have to do is go to your profile and then click "Sessions" in the upper-left corner to access not only your current session data but also the history of all your previous sessions.
-
For the distance to the tracker, there are 2 distinct things:
- To connect to the tracker (to turn it on, turn it off, or download its data), you must be within approximately 5 meters of the tracker .
- However, once the tracker is turned on, you can close the app and put your phone away. Bluetooth is only used to turn the tracker on or off, and then to download data at the end of your game or workout.
-
That's perfectly normal because your tracker doesn't need to be connected to your phone while you're playing.
The tracker must be close to the phone and connected via Bluetooth only to switch it on and off and download its data.
-
Either you are not close enough to your tracker or you may have run out of battery.
Check that :
Bluetooth is activated.
Put your tracker to charge on a computer thanks to the USB port provided in your packaging.
Check that the tracker is flashing when plugged in.
Don't hesitate to test with another cable if necessary.
If your problem is still not solved, don't hesitate to contact us via the little bubble at the bottom right of your screen.
-
When you're on your session summary page, click the icon in the top right corner and then click "Edit." You can then select your position, the session type, and the start and end times for your session before clicking "Submit."
-
If you've run out of memory, it's probably because you have an un-downloaded session. In this case, go to your application, connect to your tracker and check that you don't have a session to download. If so, download it and your memory should be freed up.
The championship on the app
-
In the league, the rules are simple: the more you play football during the week, the more points you earn to get ahead of your opponents.
Each week, you're randomly placed in a pool of 20 new opponents in one of the 10 divisions that best suits you.
It's up to you to prove that you're the best in your group: at the end of each week, the top three go up to the next division and the bottom three go down.
-
The booster multiplies the points a user earns during a session based on their division. The booster starts at x1 when you're in D10 and increases by +1 each time you move up a division, reaching x10 when you reach D1. The closer you are to D1, the higher your booster will be, and therefore the more points you'll earn from your sessions.
-
Every summer, the current season ends, and the experience points on your Footbar card reset to 10—just like when you first started on Footbar. Don't worry—you'll earn points back quickly if you were at a high level last season. This is your chance to give it your all in the new season!

Artificial Intelligence (AI)
-
Our tracker is able to detect and record leg movements through an integrated accelerometer.
Next, our Artificial Intelligence takes over. It analyzes everything the player has done and uses data from the tracker to deduce on-field actions: runs, passes, and shots.
-

- Maximum sprint: the highest speed recorded during a sprint (in km/h).

Footbar Team :
external load: amount of work performed by the player, expressed as a function of speed and activity time. The faster and longer a player runs, the greater the load.
intensity level: defined as the percentage of time spent above each speed level based on Maximal Aerobic Speed (MAV).
There are 4 intensity levels: low intensity (FI), medium intensity (MI), high intensity (HI) and very high intensity (THI). Each level can be adjusted manually by the coach in charge of the team, according to the VMA of his or her players.
-
Our tracker was trained using tens of thousands of hours of video footage to distinguish between these two actions.
-
The more you use the tracker, the more points you get. For more information, please refer to the game rules on the app.
-
If you have had a period of inactivity while standing still, for example on the bench or in goal, the tracker will not count this downtime so as not to distort your statistics.
