Yes. The " tracker " complies with the rules set by the FFF, and several of our teams wear it at the national and international levels.

Is the tracker a hindrance to playing?

No, it's super light. It fastens around your calf and doesn't get in the way—you'll soon forget you're even wearing it.

Should I keep my phone close by?

No. The phone is used to turn the tracker on and off. During the game, it stays in the locker room, and a parent can even go home.

Is Footbar free?

Yes, the Footbar app is free and available on iOS (from iOS 16) and Android (from Android 9). A premium version at €4.99/month is also available: it adds additional features*, but these remain totally optional. Essential functions, such as stats measurement, are available free of charge.

On which phones does the app work?

What statistics does the tracker measure?

Technical stats :

  • Shots: the number of shots recorded, including hits, crosses and clearances.
  • Max shot: this is the speed of your most powerful shot in km/h.
  • Passes: total number of passes made.
  • Possession: the time in seconds you spend with the ball at your feet.

Physical stats:

  • Distance: this is the total distance you've covered in kilometers.
  • Activity: this is the percentage of time that we detect that you've been running out of your total activity time.
  • Sprint max: highest speed measured during a sprint.
  • Race: this is the total time you ran, given in minutes and seconds.
  • Sprints: the number of races during which you accelerated to a speed at least 30% above your average speed.
  • Accelerations: number of times you accelerated.
  • Decelerations: number of times you decelerated.
